”Socio – economic stabilization of ethnic minority and majority communities in Kosovo“ also known.as the “Socio – Project“, is an initiative funded by Engagement ‘Global, on behalf of German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development – BMZ and is being implemented by Foundation for Sustainable Economic Development – PREDA Plus Kosovo in partnership with Arbeiter Samariter Bund – ASB, Cologne.
The Project aims to create sustainable livelihoods and better socio economic conditions for ethnic minority and majority families in Kosovo through provision of income generating, employment and community development opportunities.
The Project has been implemented in 11 municipalities
- MunicipaIity of Istog/Istok.
- Municipality of Graçanica/Gracanica,
- Municipality of Kline/Klina,
- Municipality of Prizren,
- Municipality of Suharekë/Suva Reka,
- Municipality of Shterpce/Strpce,
- Municipality of Novobërdë/Novo Brdo,
- Municipality of Lipjan/Lipljane,
- Municipality of Mitrovicë/Mitrovica,
- Municipality of Malishevë/Malisevo,
- Municipality. of Leposaviq/Leposavic.
Throughout a period of 3 years, the Project has been:
- Strengthening the capacities of start-ups, micro and small enterprises:
- Strengthening the capacities of business associations:
- Strengthening the capacities of farmers:
- Strengthening the capacities of agricultural associations,
- Support creation of working places in existing companies,
- Support small communities development initiatives, in cooperation with host municipalities.
